Bill Suttles (1931– ) is a celebrated painter known for his vivid color, expressive brushwork, and powerful abstract and figurative compositions. Beginning his professional career in Atlanta in 1950 after studying art in Chicago and serving in the Korean War, Suttles went on to create a lasting body of work admired by collectors and institutions alike.
