It is Way Back When Wednesday again.

Last week I posted "Good Bye, Atlantic Steel." Today's post is a mixed media on paper titled "Festival Day, Chiapas." It is not an older painting. It is actually brand new and directly off his easel. But, the painting was inspired by an older memory taken from a slide my father shot while on a trip to Southern Mexico in 1998.

I have included the source slide image below that he used to paint Festival Day, Chiapas. Interestingly, he uses his eye and the artistic liberty inherent in creating art.
