Temporal
“Temporal” unfolds like a memory caught mid-transition — layers of paint, collage, and gesture shifting between presence and disappearance. Bill Suttles builds the surface through transparent veils and scraped passages, allowing earlier decisions to remain visible beneath later movements. Flecks of vermilion, aqua, and ochre pulse against muted fields, while a central architectural fragment anchors the composition in a suggestion of place. The work captures the sensation of time revealed through material: every stroke an echo, every edge a moment reclaimed.
