It’s About Time — 8 x 10.5 inches, Acrylic on Paper
This piece is another example of my dad pushing color and gesture right to the edge of abstraction while still keeping just enough structure to hold the eye. When I archive works like this, I’m reminded how naturally he moves between drawing and painting—letting the line wander, letting the color decide where the energy goes next.
At 95, he still paints with this same kind of urgency and curiosity, and I love that this piece carries that feeling in its title. I’m just documenting the work, but he’s the one who built the visual language you see here—layered, instinctive, and unmistakably his.
