Edge of Dusk
Pastel on Paper — Sold
This piece has always felt like a quiet moment caught between daylight and whatever comes after. My dad loved exploring coastlines, especially the way wind, sand, and weather could shift the whole character of a place in an instant. In this one, the dark trees, the cooling sky, and that thin line of orange at the horizon all feel like they’re holding their breath.
Even though it’s a small work, it carries that familiar sense of movement he was so good at—marks that feel fast, layered color, and just enough structure to suggest the landscape without ever locking it down. It’s one of those scenes that invites you to stand still for a second and take in the atmosphere.
This original has been sold, and no prints are available, but I wanted to include it here as part of the archive. If you are the owner I would love to be able to record that fact for you. Let me know using the form below.
